Brett's Sweet Offer - I need that!

So I was thinking, would I rather have Brett Favre retire or look like this:

How I get a sweet offer like Brett Favre did: WTMJ-TV Channel 4 in Milwaukee, citing two sources, reported Wednesday that Packers president Mark Murphy at least floated the idea to Favre of paying him a package in the neighborhood of $20 million over 10 years to remain retired. Murphy met most of Wednesday with Favre and his agent, Bus Cook, in Hattiesburg, Miss.

I asked a few friends and my buddy responded with this brilliance:

Be one of the best international tax accountants the world has ever seen
Win the National Championship for international tax accountants
Arrive at the National Championship the following year and come up just short
Win the Most Valuable Tax Accountant award 3 consecutive years
Don’t miss a day of work for 17 years
Become the icon of an historic international tax accounting firm
Become crazy
Play the media with “I might retire at any minute” game for 4-5 years
Act like a scorned lover and demand that you must practice international tax again, if not for your firm, for someone else’s – preferably for one of historic firm’s greatest rivals
Historic firm offers you a ton of money to just go away

Oh well, I guess I'll keep on working!

What's in the bag?

I went shopping at REI the other day and found a pleasant surprise in my bag:

What is it?

It's a Mr. Butters!

Sauteed Shrimp w/ Garlic, White Wine and Cream Reduction

Made Shrimp and Scallops in Garlic Cream Sauce without the scallops since I didn't know what recipe I was making when I stopped at the store. I highly suggest making some nice rolls or picking up some warm bread to dip in the sauce.

Drank this:

I know, I know, I only drink red wine though...
Off to a good night's sleep shortly.

Some Coffee!

Alterra coffee is the coffee of choice right now in the Lynn/Broolio household...actually, Lynn doesn't drink much coffee, so she really doesn't care what's in the household. ;)

Some Good Beer!

Here are some beers we enjoy and you can find in our fridge on a regular basis:
Summit Pale Ale:

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale:

New Glarus Spotted Cow (Lynn's Favorite):

Goose Island Honkers Ale:

Lakefront Riverwest Stein (love the tour):

Sprecher Amber (Taki thinks this is Broolio's favorite):

Angry Women??????

According to the title of his blog, Broolio likes "angry women." I don't know about you, but this picture doesn't look like an angry woman to me.

Lynn's New Boyfriend

Ryan Braun, he's my new man. Mwah! Love him!

Here are his cute friends in the dugout:

Jimmy Buffett - tomorrow!!!

We're looking forward to the Jimmy Buffett show down at Alpine tomorrow night! Pictures promised... censored, but will post as many as we can!

Tampa - April 2008

We visited our old Milwaukee backyard buddies, Cindy and Erik, in Tampa in the Spring of 2008. It's a fabulous city! We hope to come back soon!

Rick's, a cool bar where Cindy and Lynn scarfed down some oysters!

Of course we had to visit a local dive bar, Tiny Tap!

Dark Chocolate

Broolio likes his dark chocolate! Mmmm, tasty, tasty!

Wine

We like to enjoy a nice bottle of wine from time to time. We even bought a nice wine fridge a few years ago. Tonight, we're planning to crack open a bottle of Shotfire Ridge Barossa Cuvee. Cheers! ;)

Here's what our wine fridge looks like:

Key West - Nov 2007

Key West again!!! This place is sooo laid back. Thanks to lots of travel from work I've accumulated quite a few Hyatt points which allows us to stay in wonderful places!

A breakfast guest with us at Blue Heaven

It was my birthday... so a nice lobster and some wine at the A&B Lobster House was in order.

Two decks on our room this year... this one is huge! It still goes back about 8 feet from where I took the picture! This one looks out over the resort and the pool.

And then this cozy one that looks out over the Gulf.
